Mantra Chanting for Beginners

Start small. Stay consistent. Let the habit change your life.

Beginners don’t need complicated rules. You need a method you can repeat daily. If you can do 5 minutes every day for 30 days, you will understand mantra more than someone who does 60 minutes once a week.

The beginner method (5 minutes)

  1. Pick one mantra — something simple like the Gayatri Mantra — and stick with it for 21 days.
  2. Fix a time daily (morning or evening).
  3. Sit comfortably, spine straight, relaxed face and jaw.
  4. Chant softly or mentally for 5 minutes.
  5. Return gently when distracted (no self-judgment).
  6. End in silence for 30–60 seconds.

7-day plan

  • Day 1–2: 5 minutes daily.
  • Day 3–5: 7 minutes daily.
  • Day 6–7: 10 minutes daily.
